About Our Funeral Group

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. At Goldman Funeral Group, we are committed to providing our community with the best possible service in their time of need. Our website will give you information about us and the services we provide. It is also an interactive website that allows you to express your condolences to the bereaved family, obtain current service information, and valuable funeral-related resources.

About Us

Goldman Funeral Group is a second generation family-owned funeral provider serving the Chicagoland Jewish community.

Irwin Goldman began his career with Weinstein Family Services, but after seeing the climate shifting towards corporate, conglomerate owned funeral homes, he founded the Goldman Funeral Group in October 2002. Goldman Funeral Group continues to follow the strongly held belief that “We Build Our Reputation Every Day.” As a family-owned and operated business, we personalize the funeral service to meet the needs of every family. At Goldman Funeral Group, we are forever mindful of the sacred trust we have with our families, which is never taken for granted. Our focus is to provide an everlasting tribute to those who have passed. We treat every family and their loved ones with compassion, dignity, and honor, because we view our families as an extension of us.

As of January 1st, 2019, we enthusiastically welcomed Benjamin Goldman into the firm as a licensed funeral director with the Goldman Funeral Group family. In joining the family business, he will continue the traditions and care that has been etched into Goldman Funeral Group’s mission and philosophy in serving the Jewish community.

Philosophy

Crown of a Good Name

In today’s funeral home climate, where corporate conglomerates have purchased family funeral operations in our community, the funeral home name outside their building can often be misleading. The familiar funeral director and family business you have come to trust, may no longer be there.

I established the Goldman Funeral Group; a family owned and operated funeral service, to ensure that my personal connection and commitment to families I have served, over these past three decades, will continue.

One of my mother’s life lessons was that you build your reputation every day. Her loving words become the foundation of why I am a funeral director. For me, it is all about creating life long relationships with individuals and families, not just in death, but more importantly, in life.

In the end, all we can hope for is to have a “Crown of a Good Name.”
