Condolences

Condolence From: Mary Ellen Feustel
Condolence: My heart goes out to you on the sudden loss of your mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She was a joyous and proud grandmother forever sharing photos and stories of Ben and Andrew. She was always so excited to be going to Massachusetts or Chicago to visit them and Nancy and Fred and relished those times when she got to baby sit. She, too, was so proud of Alexandra and loved going to NY to visit her and whenever Alexandra would come here to visit. In August on a recent visit by Alexandra, Randee had brought Alexandra to my home to train a large dog (that my son had brought home from college) with a gentle leader. Alexandra trained Rex that afternoon and both she and Randee walked with me and the dog until I was comfortable using the gentle leader. It was an act of kindness that enabled me to walk the dog safely and truly changed my life with Rex. It was initiated by Randee and Alex without my even asking!
Randee could listen like a therapist, always had a twinkle in her eye, and kindness to communicate. She recently lit the candles and said the blessing for Rosh Hashanah at my holiday dinner and eloquently commented on the meaning of Rosh Hashanah. It was her role which she so beautifully performed at Jewish holidays at my home throughout the year. Randee was a great cook (She made the world's best sweet potato tsimme for Rosh Hashanah), audiologist, (She recently equipped a 100 year old woman with a hearing aide), gardener, and relished her connection to the people, events, and educational groups in the synagogue. It was at Beth Israel that I had met her 25 years ago when we were both members of the Social Action Committee. I feel a great loss and will always remember her kiss and embrace just two weeks ago as she was leaving and said "Bye darling." How I wished it wasn't the last "Bye darling!"

Condolence From: Lenora Rose Johnson
Condolence: I have known my dear Randee for 28 years as a fellow audiologist and friend. We shared so much history and family stories. During my own battle with breast cancer, she was there to encourage me and gave me my personal bell after finishing my treatments. I will remember her as an intelligent and caring woman with a sweet spirit. I will miss her gentle smile and hearty
hugs. Our great memories will last forever.

Condolence From: Nancy Nickelsberg
Condolence: I've known Randee since 1985, she was one of my dearest friends, I called her my "adopted sister"! She had visited me in Oregon only a month ago. I was shocked and devastated to learn of her passing. Hard to find words to describe losing someone so precious and dear. I do feel blessed to have had her in my life all these years, and in my home in Oregon for six wonderful days. I will savor that visit, and all my wonderful memories of my "adopted sister".
