Rochelle S. “Shelli” Elstein, Ph.D, age 76, retired Bibliographer at Northwestern University Library; beloved wife for 56 years of Arthur S.; loving mother of Elana (Jeffrey Keisler) Elstein, Aaron (Mara Bragg) Elstein and David (Shuyuan Chen) Elstein; adored Safta of Max, Marlena and Evan; cherished sister of Carole (Don) Beere; dear sister-in-law of the late Vivian E. Rice; treasured aunt of Andrea (late Marshall) Yablon, Jonathan (Sibylle Salewski) Beere, Jennifer (Jeff Freeman) Beere and their children. Shelli was a warm and gracious friend to many. Her wit and humor will be dearly missed. Service Sunday, 1:00 p.m. at Anshe Emet Synagogue, 3751 N. Broadway, Chicago, IL 60613. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.
