Roland Sockel, age 88, of West Rogers Park, beloved husband of Mickey, nee Rottenberg for 66 years; loving father of Sharon (late Steve) Kaplan and Barbara (Jerry) Meyers; adored Papa of Sari Kaplan, Todd (Rosie) Kaplan, Dana (Michael) Isaacs and Jordan Meyers; proud great grandfather of Gabi, Dylan, Vivian, Denver, Parker and Hudson; dear brother of Howard (late Lana) Sockel; fond brother-in-law of the late Ruthie (late Irv) Cherner; uncle and friend to many. Service Sunday, 12 Noon at The Chapel, 8851 Skokie Blvd., Skokie (at Niles Center Rd.). Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the charity of your choice.
