Richard “Dick” Block, age 87, of Buffalo Grove, served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; beloved husband for 62 years of Sandy, nee Cohen; loving father of Scott Block and Janet (Barry) Holmblad; devoted son of the late Samuel and Beatrice; cherished brother of the late Zelda (late Herman) Block; treasured, uncle, great uncle and friend to many. Service Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove (1 blk N. of Lake Cook Rd.) Interment Westlawn Cemetery.
