Ehrlich, age 80, of Skokie, beloved husband and best friend for 59 years of Alicia, nee Rosenberg; loving father of Miriam and Steven (Julie); adored grandpa of Daniel and William; devoted son of the late Israel and Anne; cherished brother of the late Elaine (late Irwin) Silverman; treasured uncle of Carol Silverman (Dr. Daniel Shevrin) and Harry (Karen) Silverman; dear friend of many. David loved the arts, and cheering for his home teams, the Cubs and the Bears. He was an avid reader, especially science-fiction, and was a master of the New York Times’ crossword puzzles.
