Alvin Korach, MD, age 87, respected pediatrician for 40 years; beloved husband for 57 years of the late Alice, nee Diesenhaus; loving father of Elliot (Karin) Korach, Debbie (Lorren) Brooks, Dr. Linda (Paul) Lopata, and Dr. Jay (Liz Kogen) Korach; proud Zadie of Larissa, Joshua, Brian, Terry, Dr. Erica (Dr. Sam), Jennifer, Abby, Jamie, Daniel and Hannah; devoted son of the late Herman and the late Esther. Al left an indelible mark on his adoring family, cherished friends and countless children he cared for through his compassion and humor. Service Sunday, 2:00 p.m. at Congregation Beth Shalom, 3433 Walters Ave., Northbrook, IL 60062. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
