Gerald H. Newmark

Gerald H. Newmark (Jerry), 87, of Northbrook Il, passed away on Tuesday April 17th in Scottsdale Arizona.

Funeral services will be held at The Chapel at 195 N Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 at 12:00 on Sunday April 22nd Burial will follow at Shalom Memorial Park located at 1700 W Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.

Condolences will be received at the Newmark residence located at 3900 Mission Hills Rd. Apt. 401 Northbrook, Illinois 60062. The Shiva times will be Sunday April 22nd immediately following the burial until 9:00 pm, Monday April 23rd from 6:00-9:00 pm and Tuesday April 24th from 6:00-9:00 pm.

Jerry was born on the south side of Chicago to Esther and Ben Newmark on August 30, 1930. He attended Bowen High School and completed is associates degree at Roosevelt University in Chicago . For the good part of his working years, Jerry worked as a salesman for Bobbi Brooks and Levi Strass selling women’s clothing. He won many “Salesman of the year” awards. After working in the clothing industry for over 35 years, Jerry started his own screen printing company and then soon after established MJ Vending in which he still worked part time at up until this day.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Donna Rae Newmark. Together they had 3 children, Esther Orlando, married to Lorenzo Orlando, Judy Brenner married to Brian Brenner and Michael Newmark. Jerry has 1 brother, David Newmark married to Sandy who live in Florida and he has 1 Brother in Law, Dennis Carlin from Chicago, Il. Last but not least Jerry has 11 grandchildren, Rachel, Jordan and Alyssa Handmaker, Jacob, Shifra, Shoshana and Shayna Brenner & Nathan, Natalie, Ben and Maya Newmark.
