Bernard J. "Bernie" Pilchen, age 85, dearly beloved husband for 60 years of Erna Pilchen (née Lee). Devoted and loving father of Saul (Nancy), Lloyd (Paula Swinford), and Ira (Kathryn McCabe). Proud Saba of Zachary (Samantha Lockhart), Aliya, Jesse, Noah, and Laura. Caring brother of Marvin (Atsuko) and the late Idelle Greenberg. Brother-in-law of Sheldon (Lee) Greenberg and Evelyn Browne (John Gilley). Devoted son of the late Isadore and Florence (née Christenholz ), and son-in-law of the late Celia Minicker. Loving uncle, cousin and friend to many. Special thanks to caregivers Marita and Alicia. Service Sunday, 10:00 a.m. at The Chapel, 8851 Skokie Blvd., Skokie (at Niles Center Rd.).
